Wireless push buttons without cables: adding Häfele Connect Mesh

Updated 9 October 2026Lighty

Battery-powered wireless push buttons from Häfele Connect Mesh can be added to Camper Jarvis. They need no cable: you put them wherever you need a switching point, at the bed, at the sliding door, in the bathroom or next to the sink.

What you need

  • A Lighty with firmware 0.4.7 or later. It receives the wireless push buttons.
  • One or more Häfele Connect Mesh 4-way wall push buttons (item no. 850.00.141), available from Häfele specialist dealers. They run on a CR2430 coin cell.
  • A SmartKnob. The wireless push buttons only work together with it, also during normal operation.

Pairing

You start pairing in the dashboard, and it takes around 20 seconds. You do not need the Häfele app for this. The dashboard shows the push buttons it has found in a list, and a push button is only added while you have pairing open in the dashboard. So the push button of your neighbour at the campsite never ends up in your system by accident. The pairing is kept after a restart, so you only do it once.

You can pair several push buttons with one Lighty, each with four buttons. After that you decide what each button does.

Assigning wireless push buttons to a light

In a light's widget, switch on the assignment under Wireless push buttons and choose the buttons that should operate this light.

Operation

A short press switches, a long press dims, and the next long press dims in the other direction. A double tap switches all lights, just like on the wired push button. You can also put a button on any device in the system, for example the water pump at the sink, the inverter at the bed or the fan in the bathroom.

Important: without the SmartKnob, the wireless push buttons do not respond, not even for the light on the Lighty. Your wired wall push buttons, on the other hand, keep switching even without the SmartKnob.

Removing a push button

If you remove a push button in the dashboard, it resets itself to its factory settings. You do not need to press any button combination on the push button.

Ideal for retrofitting and for van converters

In a finished build, no panelling has to come off and no cable has to be pulled. For van converters, every switching point without wiring saves material, time and weight, and the customer can add more push buttons themselves later.

What comes next

At the moment the wireless push buttons work via Lighty, and more modules will follow. Next, we are adding the 4-way push buttons from Shelly.
