Operation & light scenes
You operate your lights however suits you at the moment: with the wall push button, on the SmartKnob or in the dashboard. All three ways are equal and always in sync. No matter where you change something, everything shows the same state.
With the wall push button
The wall push button follows a simple logic:
- Short press: light on and off
- Hold: dim smoothly brighter and darker. The next time you hold, it dims in the other direction.
- Hold while the light is off: the light starts very dim in the colour you last chose and gets brighter.
- Double tap: switches all lights in the vehicle on or off. This is your good night switch without any extra wiring. Because it switches several modules at the same time, it needs the SmartKnob.
This is how the push buttons work once you have set them up with the SmartKnob. How they behave without a SmartKnob is explained in "Lighty without a SmartKnob".
Gentle instead of abrupt
Lighty never switches abruptly. When you switch on, the light fades up in about one second, and when you switch off, it fades out in just under one and a half seconds. Every change in brightness runs just as gently. Only when a protection function trips does the light go off immediately.
On the SmartKnob and in the dashboard
On the SmartKnob you select the light and turn to dim. In the dashboard, every device on the vehicle Wi-Fi becomes a lighting control, without any app, simply in the browser.
Light scenes
You save your favourite combinations of brightness and colour as a scene and call them up again with your smartphone or via the SmartKnob, for example "Cooking", "Evening" or "Night light".
