Modules publish telemetry and receive commands over ESP-NOW; the SmartKnob also offers a local Wi-Fi b/g/n access-point so you can open the web dashboard on any phone or laptop.

🔋 Power budget
SmartKnob drops into deep-sleep when idle (< 0.2 W). Each module wakes only on its sampling interval or command, keeping the entire system battery-friendly.

🛡️ Built-in autonomy
Critical protections—load-shedding in Switchy, freeze & dry-run logic in Fluidy—run inside the modules themselves. If the wireless link or SmartKnob goes offline, relays stay latched and safety logic continues, but live telemetry will pause until the connection is restored.

🔄 OTA
Firmware files are uploaded through the SmartKnob dashboard; it then distributes the update wirelessly to each module. Updates are verified before activation, with the previous image retained for manual rollback if ever needed.
