Intended use: what Camper Jarvis is designed for

Updated 9 October 2026

Camper Jarvis is designed exclusively to monitor and control the equipment in the living area of motorhomes and campervans, for example lights, water, heating and appliances. It does not control the technology of the vehicle itself.

Only on the leisure battery

The system works entirely on the leisure battery side, that is the battery for the living area. It is only connected to its circuit, with 9 to 36V DC, typically 12V or 24V.

All devices are built as removable accessories:

  • No module is permanently wired into the vehicle.
  • No module is connected to the starter battery or to the vehicle manufacturer's wiring harness.
  • Every device can be removed without tools.

This way the original vehicle electrics, the type approval and the warranty on your vehicle remain completely unaffected.

Where the devices belong

Installation is only in dry indoor spaces.

Use is not intended:

  • in industrial machines or medical devices,
  • in wet areas,
  • in off-road racing with strong vibrations.

What is excluded

Connections to the vehicle electrics, to the vehicle manufacturer's wiring harness or to safety systems such as ABS, airbag or engine control unit are outside what Camper Jarvis is built for. Anyone who makes such connections bears sole responsibility for them.

Subject to mandatory provisions of product liability and consumer protection law, Jarvis Labs GmbH accepts no liability for installations outside the described area of use.
